How Raashid Is Supported

Free to use

The Raashid calculator is free of charge. We want to remove any barriers between a person and working out their inheritance according to Islamic guidelines.

Beneficial knowledge

Raashid was built as beneficial knowledge: a tool that makes Islamic inheritance easier to understand and apply, for anyone who needs it. The Prophet ﷺ said:

"When a man dies, his acts come to an end, but three, recurring charity, or knowledge (by which people) benefit, or a pious child, who prays for him (for the deceased)."
- Sahih Muslim 1631, sunnah.com English translation

Allah has set out how an inheritance is divided. Of the shares, He says they are “an obligation from Allah” - Qur'an 4:11, The Clear Quran (Dr. Mustafa Khattab), as on quran.com, and calls them “the limits set by Allah” - Qur'an 4:13, The Clear Quran (Dr. Mustafa Khattab), as on quran.com. We hope this tool helps families follow them with confidence.

Who pays for it

Raashid is funded personally by its creator. There are no investors, and no outside organizations are involved in funding it today.

Partnerships

Over time, we may partner with attorneys and other service providers. These partnerships make it easier for you to go from a result to the next step. They can also help cover the ongoing costs of running the site, without compromising its integrity and without any agenda behind them. A partnership never changes how the calculator works or what it tells you. Working with a firm, advisor or scholar is not an endorsement of them.

The calculator doesn't collect hidden data or use what you enter for marketing. If you choose to contact a partner or send us something, that's your decision and you can see what's being sent.

Our focus, and your feedback

Everything here exists to create value for the people who use it. Our focus is a beneficial, accurate and transparent service, and we keep working to improve it. We review the reports we receive and correct confirmed errors.

If you see something that looks wrong, please tell us through the . If you're pointing out a factual error, include the source (a verse, a hadith, or a scholar's text, with a link if you can) so we can check it. If you're a scholar or have training in the subject, you can add your name and credentials. That is optional.
